Captioning Hints

To meet the ever-changing deadlines that are a part of the film and television industry, and to allow us to provide the accommodating service for which we're famous, we must prepare detailed timelines. Receiving your schedule as it changes helps us to do this.
Weekly updates to weekly series' schedules is optimal.

Let us know if the AD elopes to Vegas and delays shooting by three days.

We can't say it enough times or enough ways: please keep us abreast of all changes to your schedule. Send your schedule by email to line21@line21cc.com or by fax to 604.662.4606.

Please send the most up-to-date script version you have.

If your show changes after you send us the dub, the captioning won’t match the final product. Types of changes to keep in mind include: lyric changes, profanity, ADR, changes to narration, recutting segments, or changing blacks.

If we know where your supers are going to be, we'll ensure the captions don't interfere with them. Also, if you remove or add supers, please let us know. This will ensure our captions don't interfere with your supers.

Your post house can only encode your new captioned master if they have both a master from you and the captioning information from us at the same time. We encourage you to call the post house in advance to let them know your program is coming.

Please notify us in advance if you'd like your materials (DVDs, dubs or scripts) returned, otherwise, we'll professionally and confidentially destroy them and they'll be gone forever.

We accept cash, cheques, VISA, MasterCard, cashier’s cheques, and money orders. For clients with an account, we work on a 30-day billing period and do reserve the right to impose a 2% per month interest charge on all overdue accounts.

For clients without an account, we work on a COD basis.
